MARC SASSERATH'S
LEADING CULTURE DESTINATIONS:

Marc Sasserath is a true polymath, and could be described as three-in-one–brand strategist, organisational psychologist and formidable entrepreneur.

Currently he is CEO and founding partner of Sasserath Munzinger Plus–a transformational branding firm and United Digital Group that is recognised as one of the leading brand tech businesses. He is also senior advisor to gut.org and co-founder of Unternehmerschule. Here, the former CEO of Publicis Sasserath and Head of Strategy at BBDO, tells us about his love of travel, art and... gas stations.

If there was one piece of art you could feature in, which one would it be?

I adore the works of Mimmo Rotella– I imagine being part of one of his décollages would be incredibly fun.

Who inspires you and why?

I see inspiration everywhere! I love to travel and see new places, new cultures, new people. My most quirky piece of inspirations is gas stations–I am just mad about gas stations.

What are your cultural aspirations? What do you still want to see, do and achieve?

I want to travel to so many places, some that I’ve seen already, some that I havn’t been to. And I like the act of getting there. Sometimes it’s just about the journey... And to achieve? A good question. It has made me think: a transformational space.

What are your favourite cultural cities in the world, and why?

For me it's all about paradox places–where cultures clash. In Europe, it’s definitely Istanbul, Lisboa and London. Abroad, it’s definitely Singapore and New York. These are all-time classics, but still with a lot a tension and stimulation.

What are you up to at the moment and where can we find it?

At the moment, I'm busy travelling.
