LEADING CULTURE DESTINATIONS:
Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst is the President of Pace London, and has been with the gallery since 2010. In October 2012, Pace London inaugurated its space at six Burlington Gardens with the exhibition, Rothko/Sugimoto: Dark Paintings and Seascapes. Under Mollie’s direction, Pace London has also presented exhibitions by Alexander Calder, James Turrell, Mario Merz, Lee Ufan, Robert Irwin, and Li Songsong among others. After graduating from Brown University with a degree in Semiotics, Mollie worked as Researcher in the Contemporary & Impressionist departments at Sotheby’s London (1994–95) and then as a Specialist in the departments of Impressionist & Modern art at Sotheby’s New York. From 1997 to 1999 she was a Director at Gagosian Gallery, New York, and in 1999 Mollie returned to England to orchestrate the opening of Gagosian’s first London gallery. She was Managing Director until 2004. Prior to joining Pace London, Mollie was the International Director and Programme Coordinator for The Garage Centre for Contemporary Culture, Moscow. Mollie also runs vibrant contemporary art exhibitions in the grounds of her family home, Sudeley Castle.

The American abstract expressionist, Agnes Martin.
What are your favourite cultural cities in the world?
London, Paris and New York
What are you up to at the moment?
We have three exhibitions opening in September alone, and we are currently preparing for the run up to Frieze/Frieze Masters. Our Autumn exhibition schedule is as follows: Kohei Nawa – 9th – 19th September 2014, Lee Ufan – 15th September – 31st October 2015, Brent Wadden – 25th September – 31st October 2015.
