TAMARA CZARTORYSKI
H.S.H. Princess Tamara Czartoryski, is the daughter of Prince Adam Czartoryski-Borbon. Born in the UK, Tamara later moved to Los Angeles where she worked managing film funds for several years before deciding to return to the equine industry in Europe. She is now the president of the renowned Czartoryski Museum in Poland, which boasts a beautiful collection that includes Leonardo Da Vinciβs Lady with an Ermine.
If there was one piece of art you could feature in, which would it be and why?
I would like to be on a horse riding through time, in a Salvador Dali painting.
Who inspires you and why? An artist, a family member, someone current or historical?
There are so many things and people that inspire me. Mostly it is about the exciting opportunities and situations that arise from living in the moment, and getting the most out of life.
What are your cultural aspirations? What do you still want to see, do and achieve?
I would like to create a programme to support the often overlooked emerging artists of music, art, and literature in Poland. If these amazing talents were nurtured, they could become key players in the international arts scenes.
What are your favourite cultural cities in the world and why?
Krakow is incredibly pretty, it is so untouched in a way that always touches me. Then of course there is London, sometimes I cannot believe that I ever moved away and left that city behind, it is so rich - there is always a surprise waiting for you around the next corner. And finally New York, I find it so decadent, with the most incredibly interesting people.
