SLEEPING WITH ANTONY GORMLEY AT THE BEAUMONT HOTEL
24 JANUARY, 2018
ROOM, by renowned Brisith artist Antony Gormley, is an inhabitable sculpture on the façade of London’s Beaumont Hotel. It was commissioned as a piece of public art, serving as both sculpture and architectural extension to the hotel. Its atmospheric interior consists of a dark-coloured, wooden bedroom suite along with a white marble bathroom which is accessed via a nine step, curtain cladded staircase. Staying at one of the leading art hotels in the world is more than just another night at a suite; it is literally a night inside an art sculpture.
